I’m Hedge Bette, author and the creative force behind the viral fantasy romance series “The ML is a Hostage” on TikTok, and other comedy skits ranging from fantasy customer service personnel to best practices for Bog Hags.  I have an educational background in the visual arts and English Literature, and I’ve been writing fantasy and scripting and performing comedy skits, songs, and live shows for most of my life. I take my inspiration from folklore, fairytales, mythology, and classic literature to tell satirical stories and lovingly upend established tropes in the world of classic fantasy and fiction.
